"Dreamer" is a song written by Dennis Wilson and his close friend Gregg Jakobson. It was released as the fifth track on Dennis Wilson's 1977 solo album Pacific Ocean Blue. The track, as with the rest of the album, was credited as being produced by Dennis Wilson and Gregg Jakobson. Dennis Wilson sings the lead vocals on this and every other track on the album.
Dennis provides a raspy yet soulful lead vocal on the song. According to Dennis, from an interview in 1977, he played Bass Harmonica on the track as well as "practically everything" else on the track. He also stated that the song was "about Christ".[1]
