Drake University Law School

Drake University Law School, located in Des Moines, Iowa, was established in 1881 by Chester C. Cole, who served on the Iowa Supreme Court from 1864 to 1876.[1][2][3] Today, Drake is one of the twenty-five oldest law schools in the country. Distinguished alumni include Dwight D. Opperman, former CEO of West Publishing Company, after whom Drake's law library was named and Joseph C. Howard, Sr., a judge on the United States District Court for the District of Maryland from 1979 to 2000.
