Dragunov Tiger

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Dragunov Tiger was the second rifle made by Evgeny Dragunov. It is a hunting rifle, and is very similar to the Dragunov Sniper Rifle, or SVD.

[edit] Differences from the SVD

  • Different stock, without the padding.
  • Shorter 20-inch barrel.
  • No muzzle brake.

Despite retaining the same action design and sharing most internal parts with the military SVD, the Tiger is generally considered to be little more than the hunting rifle it is marketed as. Shooters report substantially reduced accuracy compared to the military SVD or Romainian Romak-3, as well as significantly increased recoil due to the omission of the muzzle brake.
