Draguignan

Draguignan is a French city, in the Var département, of which it is a sous-préfecture, self-proclaimed "capital of Artillery" and "Porte du Verdon". At the 1999 census the population was 32,829 inhabitants. The commune's land area is 53.75 km² (20.753 sq mi). The city is only 42 km from St. Tropez, and 80 km from Nice.
