Dragonfly 1200
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Dragonfly 1200 (DF1200) is a 12.0m (39 ft.) trimaran designed and manufactured in Denmark by by Børge and Jens Quorning, of Quorning Boats, in 1997-99 and was introduced to the market in January 2000 as Quorning Boats' contribution to the new Millennium.
The Dragonfly 1200 Ocean Cruiser is, as the name says, designed for safe blue water sailing. The Dragonfly 1200 is not bigger in the marina than a conventional 12m yacht and you still have the full advantage of a trimaran.
This yacht is the biggest production-folding trimaran in the world and, with the DF1200, Quorning Boats has proven that folding trimarans of this size could be made safe and seaworthy.
There is no high-performance version of this boat.
