Draftnik
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Draftnik is a term describing those who are fans of the amateur drafts in athletic leagues. The term typically refers to NFL Draft fans and was coined in the mid-1980s after the draft was televised by ESPN.
The first draftniks are typically considered to be Joel Buchsbaum and Mel Kiper, Jr..
Nowadays, thousands of draftniks post mock drafts on their own websites, and some have even made a living out of it.
