Draeden

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

In the Dungeons & Dragons role-playing game, draedens are massive, ancient beings that predate the multiverse.

A draeden's true form resembles a cluster of 20 tubular strands arranged symmetrically around a central node, although they usually appear to mortals as the most deadly thing imaginable.

Draedens have conflicted with the immortals (or deities) in the past.

The 92nd layer of the Abyss, known as Ulgurshek, is actually a draeden who lay dormant while the Abyss formed around it.

Other draedens may exist in dormancy deep within the Paraelemental Plane of Ice, entrapped in similar fashion to Ulgurshek, eons ago by the waxing reality of the Great Wheel's inner planes.
