User talk:Dr A Anonymous

Dear Dr. A,
Thank you: I did, after talking with Dr. Wehage, calm down a lot, but at the time Boisseau quoted you here, it was part of him quoting a long series of e-mails to support his view all critical of us - Not, as I now believe, to try and attack us, but in the simple belief that things should be fixed (which I agree with him, but things seemed to be spiralling out of hand).
The major worry I had was that it came soon after a major misunderstanding, where me trying to figure out with a friend if a woman composer could be added to the list without being unfair was accidentally misread as me concealing information about her, as I did it privately as I wasn't sure about the morals of changing standards. (Boisseau apologised when I explained) Still, I wasn't sure of the timing of all of this, and so got slightly nervous that a misunderstanding could have been expanded upon into something much worse.
The process for making that list is less than ideal, isn't it? But, well, I rather agree that lists are inherently flawed, and since Wikipedia's founder was talking about such a process elsewhere, it seemed as good as any.
In any case, please forgive me for my worries about you. At the time, it seemed like things were spiralling completely out of control, and trying to help out in a list that, in all honesty, I didn't even care about much could, depending on whether names were removed, end up with Boisseau's error forever enshrined on google searches about me. I misunderstood what was being done horribly, and I apologise completely. Adam Cuerden talk 11:47, 20 October 2006 (UTC)
