Dr30 battery

The DR30 was a type of laptop computer battery used during the 1990's. This 7.2V battery used nickel metal hydride batteries cells, and provided 2800-3200 mAh of power.

This battery fell out of use when lithium ion batteries became popular in the later 90's, due to their higher energy density. Duracell stopped producing DR30's in 1996, although generic equivalents can still be purchased today. Fedco Electronics, Inc. manufactures this battery in Wisconsin, under the Part Number DR30AA, and it can be purchased from numerous resellers.
