Dr. Vivek Kumar Pandey

Dr. Vivek Kumar Pandey, Centre for Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences(CAOS), IISc Bangalore, has born in vill & Po Ramapur Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh on 1st August 1976. He has taken his education from Primary to Batcher level in most educated district, Jaunpur of Uttar Pradesh. He is inteligent and bold person and his first rank in NCC Army wing of Varanasi range speaks about his caliber even as a village (Bishunpur, Jaunpur) student of B.Sc., V.B.S. P.U., he got this hounor in time of group Captain G.B. Patnayk. He has done his B.Sc. & one year M.Sc. Electronics (due to uncommon sesssion of P.U and BHU) from Gandhi Smarak P.G. College Samodhpur and T.D College, VBS P. U. Jaunpur (U.P), after this he has done his M.Sc. Physics (Nuclear) in 2000 from Banaras Hindu University, Varnasi. His open view on any social. political and phylosophical and scientific matter and direct hit on exact answer and some bold step on university level made him faimiliar in Banaras Hindu University students.

Dr. Pandey's taken a step to remain as a research scholar of that Atmospheric and Ocean Reasearch Centre on the request of higher athority educated scientific person whose existance was itself in pending, although he was already selected a 1st batch Junior Research Centre of NCAOR Goa in 2001. The centre came in existance as a University of Allahabad one year before he submitted his first thesis of the Centre known as K. Banerjee Centre of Atmospheric and Ocean Studies. Dr. Pandey visited the International centre for theoratical Physics(ICTP), Trieste, Italy in 2004 for training in a series lecture "on Climate dynamics for University Lecturers" as a visiting scientist. He got the Honour of First Doctoral and also Post doctoral of the KBCAOS in 2007. He join as a First batch JRF,SRF of K.Banerjee centre of Atmospheric And Ocean Studies (KBCAOS/IIDS, Estd in 2000), University of Allahabad,Selected as Institute RA, indian Institute of tropical Meteorology(IITM) Pune, and offered PDF from Marine Time System, Princeton Ocean Model (POM) Group, Stevens Institute of Technology, New York, in 2006 and 2007 under Prof. George Mellor it was due to work on Indonesian(tropical and coastal region)using high resolution POM model wich was done by good relation and help by Prof. Tal Ezer Princeton University, Princeton, USA. It is new work using such a high resolution model(POM) independently in India without any group at a newly established Centre(2000) under a highly busy academicial in Official and new development work of University of Allahabad along with HOD of Material Sceinece(Nano Application Centre) and Reader in Physics, Department of Physics, University of Allahabad, Allahabad, and actively involved in reasearch work with student of Nuclear Science Centre of India, Delhi. The title of the thesis " Numerical Experiments in Ocean Transport Phenomenon" of Dr. Pandey was also based on theme of the nature of work of the KBCAOS. Presently Dr Pandey is PDF/RA at CAOS, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore involved in set up new version of Ocean Model again and he have firm determination to work for India Govt. Institute and by doing his proper job in extra time of his personal life to serve the people of India with his thoughts and character which he has maintained.
