I am 54 years old, but am currently on disability. My academic degrees were earned in the social/behavioral sciences and methodology. I studied at Princeton University, the University of California at Berkeley, and the State University of New York at Stony Brook.
I have taught and lectured on a wide range of subjects:
For example, I recently gave a requested seminar on "The Pre-Cambrian Tree of Life," and currently have a public, educational exhibit on "What is a Fossil?" Among other things, I have taught Ancient History, English Vocabulary, and Study Skills on the college level.
In the past I have edited a small newspaper on local history, an econometrics textbook, and a daily university newspaper. I have published scientific journal articles on public opinion, psychophysical measurement, and debunking astrology.
At one time, I ran the National Museum of Ceramic Art in downtown Baltimore. I also supervised scientific research at the University of Maryland School of Medicine and -- before that -- at The Gallup Poll.
Regretably, however, at no time did I earn an above-average income, get married, or have children. Dr.Bastedo 20:31, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
