Dr. Yap Chen Sing (Chinese: 葉晨星博士) is an Assistant Professor of a university in Malaysia, a Malaysian Christian singer-songwriter[1] and also the founder and director of Earth Productions Music Ministry[2] and Campus Town (a campus student community centre of Glad Tidings Assembly of God, Malaysia).[3]

Dr. Yap has sung in Asian churches in Chicago, New York, Indiana, New Orleans, Oklahoma, and Arkansas and also conducted numerous worship seminars and revival meetings.[4] In 2007, she was awarded The Outstanding Young Malaysian for the category of “Personal Improvement and Accomplishment” merit award.

Dr.Yap was born into a Malaysian Chinese family in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She received her primary and secondary education in Kuala Lumpur and later continued her undergraduate studies in Fu Jen Catholic University, Taiwan. She then furthered her master's degree and doctorate studies in the University of Arkansas, United States of America. In 2001, she also studied theology and graduated from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, Chicago.

While in the United States, Dr. Yap accepted Christ at the age of 23, when she was still pursuing her master's degree. Dr. Yap involved in church planting and had planted Immanuel Chinese Church. She also actively involved in evangelism and discipleship training.

Dr. Yap has a great passion for music and is able to play the piano, guitar and harp. She also composes and produces her own album. Some of her works had been awarded best music by the "World Chinese Gospel Music Songwriting Contest".[5]

In 2002, Dr. Yap Chen Sing returned to Malaysia to continue serving in music ministry. Upon returning homeland, she led South Yeak, a local music producer to Christ and worked together in the establishment of Earth Productions Music Ministry.[6]

Having produced several Contemporary Christian music albums (in Mandarin) in United States, Dr. Yap continued to produce more albums in Malaysia. In 2003, she produced her first album "Use Me, My Lord". In 2004, she released the next album, “Starry Night”. The albums "My Eyes" and "When Life Becomes Music" were released in 2006 and 2007 respectively. The latest album "True Worship" (English) was produced in 2008.

Dr. Yap also authored the books "You and Your Household Shall Be Saved" in 2005 and "When Life Bocomes Music" in 2007.[7]

Dr. Yap and the ministry team have been traveling throughout Malaysia churches as well as overseas missions such as in Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia and Japan. In Malaysia alone, the team has traveled to more than 200 churches a year leading music evangelistic meetings. Dr. Yap has preached and led many souls to Christ. The ministry is set to reach out to more overseas Chinese community around the world such as Taiwan, Australia and Europe.[8]
