Dr. Tangalanga is the stage name of Julio Victorio Derizio (November 22, 1916- Buenos Aires, Argentina), a popular Argentine comedian who makes prank phone calls to unsuspecting recipients. He started making crank calls in the 1960s and has released over 40 CDs of collected calls. He speaks in the Spanish language argot of Lunfardo, and his tapes have been praised by sources as varied as Argentine president Carlos Menem and philosopher Alejandro Rozitchner.
