The Dr. K.N.Modi institute of Engineering & Technology (KNMIET),located at Modinagar, was established in 1995. The institute initially started with 4 year Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech.) programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics Engineering and Chemical Engineering. Eventually, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering were also added. The institute currently offers a 3 year MCA program as well. The current affiliation is with U.P. Technical university, Lucknow. The engineering programs were originally affiliated with Ch. Charan Singh University (Meerut University), Meerut.
