The DPML is an open-source project (established in 2004) and operated and maintained by Stephen McConnell. It focuses on Java_language based applications dealing with resource, component, and application management, together with tools supporting component-based development. In August 2006 the DPML released the first production version of its SDK. The SDK included the Transit resource and plugin management system, the Metro deployment handler (an Inversion_of_Control container), the Depot build system, and the Station - a multi-application management console.
