Further, responding to a couple of your points:

  • This is fukn wiki for gods sakes. No, this is an encyclopedia. While many aspects of it are fun, the overall aim is to compile an encyclopedia.
  • i cant even site it in a bibliography at school it is seen that much as a joke. I think you'll find that there are two processes at work here. First and foremost, one should never cite encyclopedias in assignment bibliographies, as they are tertiary sources and usually far too broad-based to be useful. Thus, as well as not being able to cite Wikipedia, neither should the discerning teacher allow the citation of Britannica or Encarta or anything else. Secondly, the collaborative process can (and sadly does) end up with mistakes getting in. Thus, you'd be well advised (as your teacher seems to have advised you) to look elsewhere for sources of guaranteed reliability. That is, after all, what we do in creating the encyclopedia in the first place. BigHaz - Schreit mich an 08:02, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Wikipedia is materially improved every time someone with a chip on his shoulder gets into a hissy fit, the moment he finds that policies apply to him too, and takes a hike. Editors who can handle the principle that their work is subject to quality standards and editing are assets. As with any other contributor, it's up to you which you wish to be.
