[edit] Merge from Downsview Station (VIVA)
merge merge merge
I'm surprised that there are VIVA stops listed as wiki articles..... Is there much difference with Downsview (VIVA)? Bacl-presby 00:07, 22 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Do Not merge with Downsview (VIVA)
I'm absolutely aghast that anyone would want to merge this with the folly that is the York Region VIVA Express Bus System. Note that I did not use "Rapid Transit", as VIVA does not qualify as such. I am also surprised that there exists a lot of documentation on Wiki for VIVA, which is, simply put, a glorified bus line. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Tahna Los (talk • contribs) .
- I support merging Downsview Station (VIVA) into this article. They are the same station, after all. Whatever your opinion on Bus Rapid Transit, Wikipedia covers those systems worldwide. Cleduc 02:03, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- I agree with Cleduc. The Viva article should be merged into this one. Ground Zero | t 14:49, 28 December 2005 (UTC)
- My reasoning is that as we don’t even have articles for the TTC bus terminals that are attached to most stations, so why should the Viva stop receive a separate article when it is nothing more than an additional bus stop attached to the TTC station. Certainly Viva is in no way comparable to the TTC’s train network; it is still significant enough to be mentioned, but not enough that it needs a separate article for the same station (look at Waterloo station - it covers three railway stations and four Underground lines in a single article). - I support the merger. As well, must I remind some of you that most of TTC's subway stations also have a dual role serving as a bus interchange. To be honest with you though Viva may be a "glorified" bus line in a way it isn't because Viva is an ongoing project in itself. User:Phil-hong 1 Jan, 2006
[edit] Pictures
The pictures in this article were taken at night so it's hard to pick out any details in them. Would it be a good idea to put up new ones? I live in Toronto so I wouldn't mind going up to take a few.

[edit] Distance to Wilson
Is whoever added the "2.9 km south to Wilson" figure really sure about it? Because that would make it the longest inter-station distance on the YUS line, longer than the figure for the St. Clair West-Eglinton West distance of 2.3 km, yet I would bet everything I have that St. Clair West-Eglinton West is a longer distance (along the track) than Downsview-Wilson. Were these distance figures calculated "as the crow flies", i.e. straight-line distances, or by going along the track?

- Most of the distances are approximations (which is why they are marked with a ≅ sign) — if you have an accurate track map, feel free to replace them with more specific calculations. David Arthur 14:37, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
