[edit] Rewrite
I have re written most of the main part of this article, in an attempt to meet the clean up request in place since Nov 2005. I have tried to keep in most of the details people had included previously, but I have added in other important information, and restructured the article so that it flows a bit better. Such a great band deserves a decent page!! Alph K9 01:06, 13 April 2006 (UTC)Alpha K9
[edit] Blues-metal?
Wouldn't Down be considered "blues-metal" as well? A lot of the songs on their 2nd CD sounded really bluesy to me.
[edit] Phils Throat
tonight I saw Heaven and Hell with Megadeth and NO DOWN, this was same with yesterday when they didnt play due to Phil having a throat problem in Edmonton. this could be interesting info for the band or whatever, by the way the show fucking slayed The Ravager 06:32, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Trivia
- The fan club of Down bears the name 'The Brotherhood of Eternal Sleep', or simply B.R.O.E.S. (pronounced /ˈbrɒs/).
- The song "NOD" on Over the Under is about the nightmares of heroin/addiction, and the "nod squad" is a reference the abilities of various individuals to pass out while on heroin, shortly regain consciousness, then nod out again repeatedly, producing the effect of a nodding head.
[edit] singles?
hey man are you sure bury me in smoke was put out as a single? I've been collecting this stuff more or less since nola came out (I'm an old bastard) and I have every single, promo, advance copy you name it from the first 2 records and the singles I have from nola are stone the crow - lifer - and rehab...I can send you pics if you wanna see em....if you have or have seen a bury me in smoke thats got to be the rarest of the rare....also I think I Scream was put out from Over the Under 198.182.13.103 (talk) 10:05, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
- Really? You don't need to send me pictures, but if you wanted to you could. I scream, Mourn and something else were released from Over the Under. I'm just waiting a little bit so I can update the chart properly. I want to add as many singles as I can find. Bury Me in Smoke was released, but it was only on a disc that looks like it was copied just for radio stations. It isn't even really a collector thing. —Burningclean [Speak the truth!] 23:09, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
1) why is tempations wings not classed as a single?, 2) why is Bury me in smoke stated as having a video ? and why does this article say that there is no video for stone the crow ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Khanrad (talk • contribs) 10:47, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
1) It is now, 2) I don't know and 3) if you click on the page for stone the crow, it not only states that there's a video, but there is also a link that you can watch it on. Dark Executioner (talk) 17:59, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] GA on hold
- No image for infobox?
- "The members consist of" - members --> band, consist --> consists
- "and has gone on indefinate hiatus twice" - indef is a poor word since it ended...
- "a small concert in it's hometown" - rmv apostrophe
- "the album has received a platinum award" - has been certified platinum?
- "In 2002, Down reformed to make another record" - you said nothing about them splitting up...
- "Pepper Keenan in 2005. Down wrote and recorded Down II: A Bustle in Your Hedgerow in 28 "drug and booze induced" days." - apart from the first 4 words, what does this have to do with the image?
- "The album was released on 26 March 2002. The album was not received with the positive reviews that appeared when NOLA was released." - merge sentences
- "Down stated they will be re-releasing..." - when?
And a note on my talk page when done. Cheers, dihydrogen monoxide (H2O) 01:12, 12 March 2008 (UTC)
