Downtown Santo Domingo groups several Neighborhoods of Central Santo Domingo, D.N, Dominican Republic were the Economic and business activity is highest in the city. In Spanish is referred to as the "Poligono Central" due to the fact that it is a boxy polygon and centrally located. It Stretches from Winston Churchill Avenue in the west, to Maximo Gomez Avenue in the East and John F Kennedy in the North to 27 de Febrero Avenue in the south. Neighborhoods Like Naco, Paraiso, Ensanche Piantini, Centro Olimpico Juan Pablo Duarte, and others are within the area. The area is in it's majority composed of Banking, services, and a large amount of Mid Rise residential buildings. COJPD is a park were numerous international sporting events have been hosted, like the Pan American Games and the Central American and Caribbean Games.
