Down to Earth (song)

"Down to Earth" is a single released by the British jazz/pop group Curiosity Killed the Cat. It was released from their UK #1 album Keep Your Distance in 1987.
The sound of the song is in keeping with the band's jazz roots, but also displaying more of a pop, commercial approach to their sound which resulted in the hit single the song eventually became.
The song is unique in that it took thirteen weeks in the UK Singles Chart to reach its peak position, eventually reaching number 3 in February 1987, almost three months after its debut. It is the group's highest-charting single to date in the UK.
