[edit] Music Video
The music Video for Down In Flames was directed by Doug Gayeton. The video shows a woman in the desert, burning the belongings of a friend who had died, while cutting to footage of the band playing their instruments, with fire burning around the band.
MTV would not air the video however. The fire in the video was a touchy subject as MTV was reeling in controversy after teenagers had set fires, allegedly after watching the MTV cartoon Beavis and Butthead.[1]
