[edit] Andres Rivero Aguero
Thanks very much for your work on the article. I was actually referring to the title which was previously Carlos Rivero and didn't know at first who that was - and confused me when I spotted it. Good work and I hope you continue to contribute to the encyclopedia.--Zleitzen 06:39, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado
hi Doug, there is a smallish article on Dorticós that needs to be expanded. Don't forget to put sources to any info you can. See Wikipedia:Citing sources for more information.--Zleitzen 16:21, 16 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado
Hi Zleitzen,
I have just submitted an article on Osvaldo Dorticós Torrado, which can be viewed online. I realise that the Cuban Revolution is a highly emotional and contentious topic; but my own personal belief is that an encyclopaedia article should be factual and unbiassed, with opinion clearly identified and strictly bracketed. I have tried to apply this standard to both articles I have written--on Dorticós and on Andres Rivero Agüero. I hope that I have followed the correct procedure in listing references. -- DougRees 20:55, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
- That's great, Doug. Thanks for informing me of your work. I'll make some superficial visual format changes to the page but the text is really good.--Zleitzen 04:07, 31 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] H. D. Moe
This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of H. D. Moe, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.angelfire.com/poetry/wordbeat/FeaturedReaders/HDMoe.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 18:39, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Copyright problems
Hello. Concerning your contribution, H. D. Moe, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.angelfire.com/poetry/wordbeat/FeaturedReaders/HDMoe.html. As a copyright violation, H. D. Moe appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. H. D. Moe has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.
If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:
-
- If you have permission from the author, leave a message explaining the details at Talk:H. D. Moe and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
- If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:H. D. Moe with a link to where we can find that note.
- If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:H. D. Moe.
However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. Thank you. Exxolon (talk) 18:42, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
- The text must be released under the GFDL for us to use it. Simple permission is insufficient as all our content can be reused elsewhere under the GFDL, including for commercial use. Exxolon (talk) 19:07, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Moe Erasmus.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Moe Erasmus.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.
For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 19:09, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your msg - response
I didn't delete the article, one of the Wikipedia Admins did. Due to the licensing of wikipedia, simply having the permission of the copyright holder is insufficient, it MUST be released under Public Domain or GFDL licensing as all content is relicensed under the GFDL.
Incidentally creating pages on people you know personally is not recommended - see WP:COI for assistance. Exxolon (talk) 22:19, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edits
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:27, 9 June 2008 (UTC)
