This template was created to list Douglas airliners in the same fashion as Airbus and Boeing airliners. I have included the Dolphin, which although not part of the DC sequence, was the first 'airliner' built by Douglas. I have given the DC-9, MD-80 and MD-90 individual mentions (all linking to the DC-9 article), in the same way that 720 links directly to 707 on the Boeing Template. I have included proposed airliners which were not built, namely the MD-12 and the MD-94X. I have not included the MD-91X and MD-92X, which were proposed prop-fan variants of the MD-80, or the MD-XX, which was a proposed rewinging and stretch of the MD-11. If individual articles on these proposals are created, they should then be included in this template. Nick Moss 05:48, 6 June 2006 (UTC)
