Talk:Doug Shields
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
I removed the biography section because it is a straightforward cut-and-paste from Doug Shield's official bio and is therefore a copyright violation. Does anybody have reason to believe that the copyright holder has given their permission? PranksterTurtle (talk) 23:03, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Stop deleting my work
I wrote what was on Doug Shield's official bio, therefore I think I have my own permission to use my own work —Preceding unsigned comment added by Strelic (talk • contribs) 03:44, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- In that case, please see the policy on submitting your own work to Wikipedia. In order to post the bio here, you have to either post a notice permitting reuse under the GFDL on the original site or send an email from an address associated with the original site to permissions-en at wikimedia dot org. Furthermore, if you *are* Doug Shields, it's probably not a good idea to edit your own article -- please see the policy on conflict of interest. PranksterTurtle (talk) 07:56, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
- Alternatively, you can just rewrite the section. It's got a ton of peacock words anyway that will have to be taken out. PranksterTurtle (talk) 08:00, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
