Douglas Trainer

Douglas Trainer was President of NUS from 1996 to 1998, having served the previous two years as President of NUS Scotland, wining both as the Labour Students candidate. He went to work for, and become a partner in Luther Pendragon, and in 2006 became a special adviser for the Scottish Executive.[1]

Since Labour's defeat in the 2007 Scottish Parliamentary elections, Trainer has advised Newham Council and is now working for Serco as Comms director for their civil government business.[2]
