Douglas Rinaldi (born 10 February 1984) is a Brazilian footballer, currently playing for Watford in the Football League Championship. He is a central midfielder.

Rinaldi was signed on a six-month loan deal by Watford in the January 2007 transfer window from the Brazilian club Veranopolis EC. He made his first appearance for Watford in the 3-1 defeat at Tottenham on March 17, 2007, coming on as a substitute. He put in a decent performance and gained praise from Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd. Rinaldi scored his first professional goal for Watford on 18 April 2007 in another 3-1 defeat, this time at the hands of Blackburn Rovers. He again capped the evening with another fine performance after he was selected in the starting eleven after impressing the club.

On 22 May 2007, Rinaldi signed a two year contract with Watford for an initial fee of £250,000.[1]

Douglas Rinaldi has found chances hard to come by since joining on a long term contract and has only featured in two of the Hornets games this season which came in the Carling Cup against Gillingham and Southend United. Rinaldi has been occupied in the reserves this season but has failed to persuade Aidy Boothroyd to select him for the first team.
