Douglas Michael Haddad (born December 14, 1976 in Waterbury, Connecticut) is an American author, inspirational speaker, actor and talk radio host. He hosts “The Dr. Doug Show” on Quiet Time Internet radio network.[1] He has also co-authored the health and fitness book Top Ten Tips for Tip Top Shape.[2] He provides unique fitness programs geared specifically to specific lifestyle concerns and occupations.[3] As an inspirational speaker, Haddad travels to bookstores, libraries, schools and places of employment discussing his super health programs.[4]
Haddad graduated from Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, CT in 1999 with a bachelor’s degree in biology/secondary education and in 2000 with a master’s degree in biology. He graduated from Clayton College of Natural Health in 2005 and earned a Ph.D in natural health.
As an actor, Haddad made his stage debut in A Christmas Carol as Young Ebenezer Scrooge in 2001 at the Warner Theater in Torrington, Connecticut, and continued to perform in other stage acts. He has performed in dinner theatre shows across the northeast United States, such as "Murder Mysteries" on Carnival Cruises and Camelot Cruises as various lead characters, and in Joey and Maria’s Comedy Italian Wedding in Boston, Massachusetts and Hartford, Connecticut as the play’s master of ceremonies, Carmine Cannoli.
Haddad made his feature film debut in The Stepford Wives in 2004. He followed up this appearance with a leading role in the short film "The Stuff, the Son" in 2004 as Domenic and had multiple appearances on Nippon Television (NTV), Japanese TV. He has also modeled for the BBPics.com fitness photography site. [5]
Haddad was formerly a science teacher at Henry James Memorial School in Simsbury, Connecticut.
