Douglas City is an unincorporated town located in Trinity County, California with a population of 714. Nearby towns and cities include Lewiston, Junction City, Weaverville, Hayfork, Big Bar, Whiskeytown, French Gulch, and Igo. The ZIP Code is 96024. The community is inside area code 530.

In the state legislature Douglas City is located in the 4th Senate District, represented by Republican Sam Aanestad, and in the 1st Assembly District, represented by Democrat Patty Berg.
