Doug Nye

Doug Nye born 1946 is a motoring journalist and author. He lives in Surrey, England.

He is generally recognized as a world authority on Lotus cars, and was consultant to the Donington Collection of single-seater racing cars.

At the age of 18 he went straight from grammar school to the staff of Motor Racing magazine based at Brands Hatch. Since then he has written more than 30 motor racing books including:-

  • Ferrari: The Red Dream
  • BRM: The Saga of British Racing Motors: Front Engined Cars, 1945-60 Vol 1
  • BRM: The Saga of British Racing Motors: Rear-Engined Cars, 1960-79 Vol 2


He also is a regular contributor to the Daily Telegraph.
