Doug Moe (writer)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Doug Moe is a non-fiction author and magazine editor best known for his books Lords of the Ring: The Triumph and Tragedy of College Boxing's Greatest Team and The World of Mike Royko. Moe works for the Wisconsin State Journal in Madison, Wisconsin as a daily column writer.
The title of Doug Moe's newest book, Surrounded by Reality, is taken from a common Madison phrase coined by former Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Lee S. Dreyfus. Although Dreyfus used the phrase to describe Madison pejoratively, some citizens of that city have adopted it as a complement.
