Doug Fisher (actor)

Douglas Fisher (1941 – 9 July 2000) was an English actor.
Fisher's career was predominantly in the theatre, although he played one-off or guest roles in many British series. His best-known part was that of Larry Simmonds, the lovable rogue who occupied the attic apartment in the ITV sitcom Man About the House. He also appeared in All Our Saturdays, Yes Minister, Home to Roost, Sorry!, Haggard, Goodnight Sweetheart, Jonathan Creek and Heartbeat. He final role, in 1999, was as a clergyman in Oliver Twist.
He died of a heart attack in 2000 at the age of 59.
