Doug Farraway

Doug Farraway, nicknamed The Deacon, (born June 13, 1951 in Hamilton, Ontario)[1] is the current sports director at the all sports radio station The Fan 590 in Toronto, Ontario, (formerly of CKOC radio in Hamilton). He has previously worked in such markets as Sarnia, London, Simcoe, and Hamilton.

Outside of his duties as sports director, Farraway can be heard occasionally filling in for Chuck Swirsky on The Swirsky Show from 1 to 4 p.m & for Daren Millard on Hockey Central at Noon. During the summer (from mid-June until September), he takes over the hosting duties from Millard for Hockey Central at Noon.

Farraway is also a featured columnist on the station's website, where he writes a bi-weekly opinion column entitled The Deacon's Pulpit.
