Doug Anderson (fighter)

Doug Anderson (born May 15, 1982) currently co-hosts the show Fight Quest on the Discovery Channel.
Born in New Jersey, Anderson enrolled in the US army in 2002 and served for a full year in Iraq. He saw intense activity and was rewarded with numerous decorations. During his military service, Doug was part of the Rapid Deployment Forces and from 2004 till 2005 his unit was on the front line.
The time spent in the military awakened his interest for martial arts. After becoming familiar with the Jiu Jitsu techniques, he went on to be the bodyguard of a high ranking officer who served in Iraq.
Decorated with 9 medals for his service during the war, Doug left the army in 2005 and continued training in the martial arts field. Until now, Doug managed to obtain blue belt in Jiu Jitsu and is passionately studying Muay Thai and traditional boxing.
When he's not traveling around the world for the Fight Quest TV show, Doug works as a volunteer for different civic organizations and spends his time with his nieces. He also enjoys drawing, painting and tattooing.
