Double Impact is a 1991 action film, directed by Sheldon Lettich and starring Jean-Claude Van Damme in a dual role.
Van Damme plays Alex and Chad Wagner, twins who are separated as babies when their parents are killed by a crime boss. Now 25 years later they meet for the first time and join forces to exact revenge on the people who took their parents' lives.

Double Impact opened on August 9, 1991 to mixed critical response where most critics cited it as yet another mindless action movie that only had the gimmick of 2 Van Dammes. Others gave the film recognition for slick production values and Van Damme some praise for trying to play two different characters. As noted by the habitually reserved film critic Roger Ebert, "Jean Claude Van Damn this movie is good!"
In its opening weekend it took 2nd place with $7,574,703 from over 1,735 theaters, making $4,365 average per theater,and $30,102,717 total at the end of its US run. Overseas the movie was a blockbuster in most countries.I n France it had 1,743,544 admissions,in Germany over 1,542,147,and in Spain over 509,595. It grossed $1,134,730 during its Australian theatrical release. Worldwide it has taken in well over 80 million.
