Double Eagle is a science fiction novel by Dan Abnett based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and published by the Black Library. The story is set during the Sabbat Worlds campaign and expands upon the Phantine Air Corps introduced in the Gaunt's Ghosts series of books.

Set during the Sabbat Worlds campaign, the Phantine XX are tasked with holding off the forces of Chaos so that the remaining forces of the Imperial Guard can regroup and retake Enothis. -->

- Commander Bree Jagdea is the leader of XX Wing Umbra. She flies a Thunderbolt.
- Enric Darrow was originally a pilot for the Enothis PDF, but later transfers to the Phantine XX Umbra due to his skill as a pilot. Originally, he was able to outfly Krel Kas Obarkon in a severely outclassed fighter.
- August Kaminsky was originally a pilot for the Enothis PDF, but suffered severe injuries, resulting in his transfer to the Munitorium. He is later transferred to the Phantine XX Umbra.
- Vander Marquall is the youngest member of XX Wing Umbra.
- Krel Kas Obarkon is a Chaos fighter pilot. During the climactic battle of the Novel, XX Wing Umbra do battle with him in the skies of Enothis.

The events of this novel happen concurrently with the events of Dan Abnett's Gaunt's Ghosts novel Sabbat Martyr, and makes reference to the resurrection of the Beati.
The 8th Pardus Armoured Regiment play a large role in the Gaunt's Ghosts novel Honor Guard.
The Phantine Air Corps play a large role in the Gaunt's Ghosts novel Guns of Tanith.
