[edit] Plagiarism

It appears that more than a few sentences in the article are copy-pasted from http://www.tootsie.com/dots.html. I've added references to that site - could someone rewrite those sections? aerotheque (talk) 09:00, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Block Crows?

I remember there use to be black dots (black crows) mixed in with the colors dots. Does anyone remember why those were taken out? Thanks! /Cat

"Delicious" DOTS, "Like a cool summer breeze"-- this article reads waaay too much like an advertisement. ekedolphin 08:28, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

That's because most of the article is cut and paste from the Tootsie Roll web site. --Rickscholz 03:51, 23 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] More Background on Dots

Mason, AU and Magenheimer also used to make another candy very similiar to Dots, but a bit spicier called Berries. I haven't seem them in years but still remember the taste exactly.

Mr. Magenheimer lived just a few blocks from where I grew up in Old Bethpage NY. Every year when we went Trick-or-treating he had a stack of cartons full of Dots right next to the front door. If you went back a few times you could get enough to last until Christmas.

This postings for you Mr. Magenheimer. Just so nobody forgets you guys invented them.

And thanks for all the candy. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 67.171.167.225 (talk) 04:19, 8 December 2006 (UTC).

[edit] Almond?

Does anyone know if one of the natural or artificial flavorings in Dots is almond extract?

I'm not positive but I think not, because I'm allergic to almond and i eat them without a reaction. Then again, I haven't had them since I was 9 so...
