From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Hello, Doseiai2, my name is Auroranorth. Welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like our encyclopedia and decide to stay. Thank you very much for creating a username, it's the first step to becoming a respected member of the community. Here are a couple of pages you might find useful. I won't go into great detail here, but if you ever need any help, you can always try Help:Contents. So, the pages:
- Wikipedia:Your first article - how to construct a great first article!
- Wikipedia:Cheatsheet - essential in learning about the different buttons you see when you click 'edit this page'.
- User:Doseiai2/Sandbox - your very own sandbox where you can fiddle around with the buttons on 'edit this page'.
- My talk page - if you ever have any questions, edit that page and ask!
I hope you enjoy being a Wikipedian! Always remember to sign your name with the four tildes (~~~~) on any talk page (not in any article) - this will produce your name and date, similar to what will appear at the end of this message. Remember, if you need any help at all, check out Help:Contents, my talk page or the help desk. Or if you like, place {{helpme|YOURPROBLEMHERE}} on your talk page (this page) and someone will swing by soon. Once again, welcome, Doseiai2!
[edit] September 2007
Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent contribution removed content from Romancecar. Please be careful when editing pages and do not remove content from Wikipedia without a good reason, which should be specified in the edit summary. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you would like to experiment again, please use the sandbox. Thank you. [edit] Amphoe and Thesaban
Hello, thanks for edits on the Thai articles. It seems you did fall into the same misunderstanding I myself fell before - the cities like e.g. Rayong are not identical with the Mueang district. The municipal (thesaban) areas (and this includes Pattaya which is a municipality outside the thesaban system) take over some of the tasks normally assigned to the district or province administration (most notably the sanitation), but they are still part of the district for the other tasks (e.g. civil registry). And while these municipalies are local administrative units, the districts as well as the tambon are directly controlled by the central government. andy 11:30, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Orphaned non-free media (Image:OER-3000-SSE10.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:OER-3000-SSE10.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 14:08, 9 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Balabalagan Islands
A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Balabalagan Islands, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Rambutan (talk) 17:28, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Balabalagan Islands
Balabalagan Islands, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Balabalagan Islands satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Balabalagan Islands and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Balabalagan Islands during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Rambutan (talk) 17:44, 15 September 2007 (UTC)
[edit] License tagging for Image:Lambang propinsi sulsel.jpg
Thanks for uploading Image:Lambang propinsi sulsel.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:09, 15 September 2007 (UTC)

Stubs created with little or no backup are a bad reflection of the Indonesian project - please at least learn about putting stub tags at the bottom of the stubs that you create = they could be speedy deleted very easiy by outsider editors - please take attention to this - cheers SatuSuro 02:31, 1 October 2007 (UTC)
-
- Please note that there are subcategories as below - please try and help put the stubs you are creating into the sub categories rather than the main category - it would be appreciated if you can help the cleanup! thanks

[edit] Notability of Coco Snatch
A tag has been placed on Coco Snatch requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. UtherSRG (talk) 20:00, 19 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Talk page comments
Editing your talk page comments is usually advised against. A quick touchup for spelling or something else trivial is OK but changing the words or other substantive edits should be avoided, especially after someone already has responded to your comments. See WP:TPG#Own_comments for details. Raymond Arritt (talk) 03:44, 24 November 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Wow!

[edit] {{Thai LGBT movies}}
In light of Lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender-related films of Thailand and a new category, Category:LGBT-related films from Thailand, I wonder if the template is still needed? Perhaps rather than a template on films, maybe one is needed for the broader subject of LGBT topics in SE Asia? Care to discuss? Please see Template talk:Thai LGBT movies. — WiseKwai 21:02, 7 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Speedy deletion of Tops Supermarkets (Thailand)
A tag has been placed on Tops Supermarkets (Thailand) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit] Carotenoid template
Hi, I recently saw you split off retinoids, carotenes, and xanthophylls into their own templates. I can't see any reason why we shouldn't have all the carotenoids in the same template, which actually helps navigation if the template is set up correctly. I've modified {{Carotenoids}} to reflect the members in each set, and that's the template I think we ought to use. I'm going to nominate Template:Carotenes, Template:Retinoids, and Template:Xanthophylls for deletion, as Template:Carotenoids is a better format for this information. [edit] AfD nomination of List of largest suburbs in the world
I have nominated List of largest suburbs in the world, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of largest suburbs in the world. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Deiz talk 08:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
- Hi Doseiai, I've identified several problems with this list, hence the AfD nomination. I would ask that you don't add the link to any more articles until the issue has been resolved. No doubt you'll have a chance to look at the AfD and give your opinion there. Thanks, Deiz talk 09:00, 18 May 2008 (UTC)
