Dosinia lambata, or the silky dosinia, is a bivalve mollusc of the family Veneridae, endemic to New Zealand. It is found around the North Island and the northern part of the South Island in muddy sand below low tide level.
The shell is rather small, thin, inflated, and circular but with blunt projecting beaks. The sculpture is of exceedingly fine sharp concentric lirations, about 50 per cm giving a smooth appearance.
Coloration is white, often tinged with yellowish-brown.
Height is up to 24 mm, and width 35 mm.
