[edit] Welcome to Wikipedia!

Dear Dorange: Welcome to Wikipedia, a free and open-content encyclopedia. I hope you enjoy contributing. To help get you settled in, I thought you might find the following pages useful:

Don't worry too much about being perfect. Very few of us are! Just in case you are not perfect, click here to see how you can avoid making common mistakes. Wikipedians try to follow a strict policy of never biting new users. If you are unsure of how to do something, you are welcome to ask a more experienced user such as an administrator. One last bit of advise, please sign any dicussion comment with four tildes (~~~~). The software will automatically convert this into you signature which can be altered in the "Preferences" tab at the top of the screen. I hope I have not overwhelmed you with information. If you need any help just let me know. Once again welcome to Wikipedia, and don't forget to tell us about yourself and be BOLD!--SarekOfVulcan 07:55, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Notable staff

Hi! I noticed that you re-added Saul and Stockwell to the RHUL page. Can you explain why you think these two are particularly notable, i.e. amongst the top handful or so of RHUL staff? I notice that out of the 9 staff members currently included, 4 are currently from the history department. This seems quite a few to me, given that the department (at #9 in the country) is very good but not spectacular. I agree with Champion and Cesarani, but not necessarily with Stockwell and Saul, but the stubs are good work and I would like to hear your reasoning before any potential reverts. To be honest, I'd personally favour scrapping that section completely- what do you think? Badgerpatrol 02:12, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] TeckWiz's RFA

Hey Dorange. Thanks for commenting on my unsuccessful RFA last week under my old name, TeckWiz. I'm now known simply as User:R. I will use your comment to help improve, and I hope to keep helping and improving Wikipedia alongside you. --TeckWiz is now R ParlateContribs@(Let's go Yankees!) 00:47, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Bedford College (London)

A speedy deletion tag has been placed on this article. (Reasons are below). Seraphim♥ Whipp 00:05, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Page redirect

Hi. You redirected the page above incorrectly. By copying and pasting an article's content into another article, we lose all the page history, which is a GFDL requirement. Don't worry though, it's easy to fix! :) Seraphim♥ Whipp 00:02, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

I'll be grateful if you can help me move Bedford College (University of London) to Bedford College (London), for the reasons I've stated on Talk:Bedford College (London). Dorange (talk) 00:11, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
I shall be delighted to do it the moment the page has been deleted. Also, I'll point to the correct procedure for the future? It's at Help:Merging and moving pages. Great work on the 'pedia by the way :) Seraphim♥ Whipp 00:14, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Wow; that was quick! So all fixed now. Happy editing! Seraphim♥ Whipp 00:26, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Asian Universities Debating Championship

User:JJJ999 (sometimes editing as 122.148.218.27) is again using a Wikipedia article to make personal attacks against someone he doesn't like while claiming his comments are justified by dubious sources, just as he did during the Australian Capital Territory Debating Union dispute which we were both also involved in last year. You may want to have a look at Talk:Asian Universities Debating Championship and see if you have any comments. Purple Watermelon (talk) 07:22, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
