Here's a bit to get us started on an article about Dorothy Wilding.

Dorothy Wilding (1893-1976)

English society photographer, considered the most successful portraitist during the 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s in the U.K. She popularized the profile portrait as well as innovative, stylized settings. She enjoyed a long-standing close relationship with the royal family and is perhaps best known for her definitive portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, used on postage stamps during the 1950s and 1960s.

She worked in studios in both London, England, and in New York, New York, U.S.A.
