Talk:Dorotheus
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Please note this is NOT Dorotheus of Sidon, the "astrological poet" originally listed in the List of ancient Greeks category list. This is a person who lived several hundred years later and had nothing to do with astrology. There happened to be an entry for him in the 1911 Encyclopaedia Brittanica, which was in the public domain and the two were confused.
Since no one objected, I moved the material originally listed here under "Dorotheus" to "Dorotheus (jurist)" and put a disambiguation page here to triage users between this jurist Dorotheus and the astrologer Dorotheus of Sidon, who has has own article now. --NaySay N. Harris
I added Dorotheus of Tyre, a bishop of Tyre, who may also be referred to as Dorotheus of Antioch. Stevenmitchell 13:49, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I just moved the "disambiguation" notice to the end of the page. Welcome! NaySay 14:08, 7 May 2006 (UTC)
