Talk:Dore bar
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
It may well be the case that this article should be classified as a "stub", but deleting it from wikipedia entirely would lose valuable information, i.e. the subject was previously not covered _at_all_ on any other wikipedia page. Indeed, the entire process of gold is moved from ore to precious metal is absent from wikipedia. My, there's so much room for addition of material here. What a pity to focus any effort at all on deletion of material.
CSD A1 says: <quote> Limited content is not in itself a reason to delete if there is enough context for the article to qualify as a valid stub. </quote> Sdsds 03:59, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
- It seems to be missing an introduction, without any country or location. Jimfbleak.talk.13:25, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for this suggestion! You're right, some sort of introduction would improve the article. But I'm hesitant to write, "In English-speaking countries where gold is mined..." since that's pretty much implicit in the extant text. I believe the term is used in, the U.S., Canada, and South Africa, at least. It is also used in Britain, even though little gold is mined there! Is there some sort of introduction (other than country/location) that might suit your purpose? Sdsds 23:45, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
