Dorus de Vries (born December 29, 1980 in Beverwijk) is a Dutch football goalkeeper who currently plays for Swansea City.

[edit] Holland
de Vries started his career at Stormvogels Telstar. In 2003 he transferred to ADO Den Haag. After some mistakes by the first choice keeper Roland Jansen, he took over the position of number one goalkeeper. In 2006 ADO Den Haag told de Vries that he would not be awarded a new contract and was free to find a new club.

In the summer of 2006, following a successful trial, he signed a contract with Dunfermline Athletic in Scotland.[1]
On May 11, 2007, he palmed a tame free kick into his own net against Inverness to end Dunfermline's 7-year stint in the Scottish Premier League.

De Vries signed a two-year deal at Swansea City on 6 July 2007.[2] In his first season with the Welsh side he helped the club to the Football League One title.

De Vries has represented Holland at U-21 level.
