Dorrington, Lincolnshire

Dorrington is a parish and village of fewer than 300 people, in North Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England, 2km south of Digby and north of Ruskington.

The village is mostly just off the north-south B1188 road. Grid reference TF080529. Its church of Saxon origin and surrounded in legend overlooks it from its north-western end. The church is dedicated to St James and St John and is situated a half mile away from the centre of the village north on the B1188. Near the church is the house in which Sir Frank Whittle lodged while he was working on the development of the jet engine at RAF Cranwell. The Peterborough to Lincoln Line passes to the east of the village. The village pub is the Musicians Arms on Main Street.
