Doron Ofir

Doron Ofir (born March 4, 1972) is a freelance casting director and president of Doron Ofir Casting, a division of Popular Productions LLC. Ofir earned a reputation in Hollywood by taking on controversial programs such as MTV's A Shot at Love with Tila Tequila' and high profile projects such as MTV's Paris Hilton's My New BFF' and NBC's Nashville Star.

Ofir was born in New York, to Israeli parents. He had his introduction to the entertainment industry as a spotlight dancer on the first non music-video related series on MTV, Club MTV. Doron Ofir made a name for himself as a legendary doorman and personality in the dance club scene of New York and Miami's South Beach, FL. Manning the velvet ropes of some of the world's most famous nightclubs including New York's Tunnel, USA, The Palladium, Roxy, Opera, Life, Crobar. His social status in Miami reached it's apex when he was selected to run 'Liquid', Madonna's elite dance club, during which time he was featured on 2 episodes of E! television show Wild On! along with Red Hot Miami and Incredible Florida on The Travel Channel.

Ofir began his career in casting with the program The Amazing Race on CBS for seasons 2 & 3 which won the Emmy for Best Reality Competition Series. After a string of successes in reality television, he took on his first Casting Director credit on ABC's Are You Hot? The Search for America's Sexiest People. He opened his namesake company Doron Ofir Casting in 2007.

Ofir is part of the esteemed alumni of the University of Miami's School of Motion Pictures, Coral Gables, FL from which he holds an MFA. He also attended: The FAMU program at The Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic The American University of Paris, Paris France He is member of Golden Key International Honour Society
