[edit] HilariousI like the edit summary on your edit :) --Bkkbrad 01:30, 30 April 2007 (UTC) [edit] Historic districtThanks for the review on Historic district. Much appreciated as that one was in queue for quite some time. IvoShandor 18:13, 5 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] WP:ADOPT inputHello, DoomsDay349. The Adopt-a-User program is looking for new ideas and input on the program. If you are still interested please stop by the talk page and read some of the ideas being floated and give a comment. If you want to update or change your information on the adopter's list page, now would be a great time! Thanks! Just as I told you here :-) Cheers! -- ReyBrujo 20:32, 19 May 2007 (UTC) [edit] Talk:Main PageI've appropriated your barnstar "idea" (for one use, at least); I hope you don't mind. :) Joe 04:19, 20 May 2007 (UTC) [edit] National Gem and Mineral CollectionI come to you now asking for help. The article that was deleted has been moved and copied word for word and put into a different artice. Search National Gem and Mineral Collection and you will see what I mean. I did not put it there, I don't like my article being plagerised like that with no credit being given to me for writing the article. Could you please tell me what I should do. Thank you Wam24 20:20, 22 May 2007 (UTC)(UTC) [edit] Todd StrassmanHe is notable enough. I was looking at What Is This?, and I saw a red link, so I just put something there. The only reason I put it there was because I just read about him in a book called Scar Tissue, so yeah. A new drive has been started requesting that all members review at least one article (or more, if you wish!) within the next two weeks at GAC to help in removing the large backlog. This message is being sent to all members, and even members who have been recently reviewing articles. There are almost 130 members in this project and about 180 articles that currently need to be reviewed. If each member helps to review just one or two articles, the majority of the backlog will be cleared. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. Additionally, the GA criteria may have been modified since your last review, so look over the criteria again to help you to determine if a candidate is GA-worthy. If you have any questions about this drive or the review process, leave a message on the GAC talk page. --Nehrams2020 00:52, 25 May 2007 (UTC) [edit] HelpDude, Andrew and Shane messed with my page and vandalized like 20 pages. [edit] Haystacks (Monet)Sometimes, I am a little dense, but the section you say is poorly cited has 6 citations for 14 lines of text and you say it has an unreferenced quote where I see none. I am considering requesting a review. Please point out the unreferenced quote. TonyTheTiger (talk/cont/bio/tcfkaWCDbwincowtchatlotpsoplrttaDCLaM) 00:28, 30 May 2007 (UTC)

Thanks. By the way, try not to bold your answers, they're an eyesore. bibliomaniac15 02:16, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I hope you aren't being put off too much by the outrageous ageist opposes on your RfA. I often find oppose reasons bad, but when they are to do with age, race, gender etc I was actually fuming :P I will always question such "votes" for the reason that they are nothing to do with being an admin, and to say that kind of thing wouldn't be acceptable in real life either. Good luck with it, and don't worry if it doesn't pass. You'll be an admin one day! Majorly (talk | meet) 20:15, 5 June 2007 (UTC) [edit] AT&T Corporate Center GAThanks for the support. Of the three you reviewed, I think Haystacks is the best article, but I think you are right that it was not cited that well. I think my problem is that anything that I did not start from scratch since gaining understanding of citation standards I have had trouble getting up to par. You can see what I mean looking at my Review record. I think I will put Haystacks (Monet) in for a peer review for some help while trying to find the proper citations. [edit] Speedy deletionFrankly, I don't, since the creators in question should have already been warned, but I guess it would be good to do so. It's just that when there's a big backlog, it gets pushed to the side. bibliomaniac15 An age old question... 00:39, 10 June 2007 (UTC) [edit] Re:Gnome Week[edit] Defending argument to the notability and validity of "Dickov"Ok ok fair enough. However, I found that many articles refering to subjects related with video games such as "Rhasta" have been deleted. While Dickov may not be as wide-concerning as a character in the game, why is it that other surviving character biographies such as Cloud Strife are not deleted? I am unable to understand fully Wikipedia's fourteen point policy regarding the deletion of such material. Moreover I quote:- Even if he is some sort of super-prolific or amazing player in the game, he hasn't done anything notable beyond that. While you say this regarding my article, I have found articles providing evidence to the contrary. Articles such as Overrated (wow guild), SK Gaming among others. I cannot understand the double standards applied to my article. Assuming the conflict of interests. Suppose I managed to convince a fan or god forbid, a fan willingly creates an article tributed to me. Would that article be just as survivable as my previous 4 attempts to get Wikipedia to recognise the magnitude of "Dickov"? Does wikipedia regard the world of Video-games not adequate enough to be accomodated into such a powerful and amazing system such as itself? Importance is also extremely (repeat:extremely) subjective, would it not be offensive to other parties to have their work deemed unimportant? --Dickov 19:52, 10 June 2007 (UTC) [edit] User:Buddhist143 's (see his talkpage) disruptive editingYou had warned him once and now he is upto it again addind non sense about celebrities relgion by either saying they are Hindu or Buddhist.--KnowledgeHegemony 14:07, 25 June 2007 (UTC) [edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Draconians.jpgThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Draconians.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page. If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. ShakespeareFan00 12:17, 2 July 2007 (UTC) [edit] AssistanceThanks. There are currently about 130 articles that need to be reviewed right now. If you are interested in helping with the drive, then please visit Wikipedia:Good article candidates backlog elimination drive and record the articles that you have reviewed. Awards will be given based on the number of reviews completed. Since the potential amount of reviewers may significantly increase, please make sure to add :{{GAReview}} underneath the article you are reviewing to ensure that only one person is reviewing each article. You have received this message either due to your membership with WikiProject: Good Articles and/or your inclusion on the Wikipedia:Good article candidates/List of reviewers. --Nehrams2020 03:23, 11 July 2007 (UTC) [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:Test of the Twins.jpg)Thanks for uploading Image:Test of the Twins.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media). If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. My Advanced B classes will be contributing to Wikipedia as the focus of their English course for Fall 2007. I am looking for people who would like to mentor my students (who will be working in groups) as they do the following assignments: Edit and article (adding a citation), writing a stub with a citation, translating an English language article for Spanish Wikipedia and for the final project, writing a full article for English Wiki (they can expand on the stub mentioned previously). What I would like to do is put a list of "mentors/adopters" on my talk page as a kind of short cut for my students, who have limited time to get things done. The semester begings Aug 6, but the real Wikipedia work wont begin until the beginning of Sept. If you would like to add your name to my list, please go to my talk page and add it there, perhaps with a short introduction, if you like. Thank you! All the best Tim Vickers 17:12, 1 August 2007 (UTC) [edit] Thank you[edit] Reminder to MentorHola Mentors! Im sending you this reminder because you volunteered to mentor my students in English Advanced B as they become contributing members of the Wikipedia community. We start working with Wikipedia in earnest next week. I ask you to take a look at your entry in the Mentor Table at Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Mentors Please update the information, esp. with what your technical and informational expertise is or, if you have decided that you no longer want to participate, please remove your information from the table. Please watch the pages associated with the project. Students will contact you via your user page and as soon as my students have user pages, I will put them on the navigation bar associated with the project. I don’t need to remind you that your job is NOT to write their assignments for them, of course. I certainly will tell my students that… and the fact that you are volunteers that don’t have to help them… so they need to be nice. If any students misbehave (tho I don’t expect it) don’t hesistate to contact me and I will take care of it. The goal of this project is to integrate successfully into the Wikipedia community. Anyway… what I really need your help with is helping students get oriented to Wikipedia, make appropriate changes and write about appropriate topics (see Wikipedia:School_and_university_projects/ITESM_Campus_Toluca/Syllabus for assignments). I also need your technical expertise… I am only an English teacher after all! I appreciate what technology does for us but I am no technical expert! Again, thank you for volunteering and you will hear from us again soon! Thelmadatter 19:32, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Thelmadatter [edit] Re:Status headersHi DoomsDay.
