[edit] Portal:Bible

Hello Donnie, and welcome! I noticed your portal and like the idea very much. I myself set up the Christianity Portal, and one of the portal's features is a "featured scripture" section. Perhaps you could suggest some particularly interesting passages to show? I would also welcome any suggestions you may have on articles to feature etc. Hope to see you round! I've deleted Editing Portal:Bible/Featured article/May, 2006 - the only content was "one moment, please...", so I assume it was created by mistake :) Cheers — sjorford (talk) 08:52, 26 April 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Bible

Hi- I was looking around today and I noticed that this portal had gone inactive for a little while. I have made some changes to Portal:Bible/Featured chapter that should help things to be a little more automated. It will automatically display a different verse from Exodus every three days. There are still a few more things I'd like to tweak about it, but this will make it so that a dated page won't have to be created for each verse - if ever there isn't content available, the template can be changed to just replay Genesis. I'd love to help out with anything that can be done there. BigDT 02:31, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Also, I have created {{Portal:Bible/Featured chapter/Template}} which you can add to your userpage in order to have the current Bible chapter transcluded onto your user page. I've populated Exodus 2-3, so it is set for the next week. BigDT 17:23, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Preview

I would like to thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. However, it is recommended that you use the preview button before you save; this helps you find any errors you have made, and prevents clogging up recent changes and the page history. Thanks again. --Geniac 20:21, 4 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Bible/Featured chapter

I have set the template for the featured chapter so that Exodus will end exactly at the end of January. What book would you like to have next? Purely for the sake of having something there, I've set it to do John, but if you would rather stick with the OT, that's fine too. BigDT 00:27, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Copied from my talk page for continuity Hello, BigDT, good to hear from you again. Sorry I didn`t respond to your message right away. I gave it some thought, and I think I would prefer to do the Bible chapters straight through rather than skip around. I know the last three books of Moses are not terribly exciting, but maybe we can speed up the rotation again so it won`t take all year. Let me know what you think. Donnie Love 14:51, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Sure, what interval would you like to use for Leviticus? Chapter per day? 2 days? 3 days? --BigDT 03:58, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:MASH-episode2.jpg

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:MASH-episode2.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use. Suggestions on how to do so can be found here.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Portal:Bible selected chapter

FYI, I have updated the ticker through November 26 (the end of Deuteronomy). I have also created a page where you can monitor the scheduled pages at User:B/Bible. There are three subpages (eg User:B/Bible/set1) that show, for each day, what is scheduled on that day. It also gives you a quick way to watch the next few verses before they appear (in event of vandalism). --B 01:20, 27 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:MASH-episode1.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:MASH-episode1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:17, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Bible article

Do you have anything that might work for Portal:Christianity? All of its monthly articles are redlinks. I left a message at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Christianity but nobody has said anything. If nobody else does anything in the next few hours, I'll put something up just to get rid of the redlinks. I've done three sports portals today, but somehow, I don't think a Virginia Tech photo would work here. ;) --BigΔT 20:28, 1 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] AfD nomination of Differences between book, film and TV versions of M*A*S*H

Differences between book, film and TV versions of M*A*S*H, an article you created, has been nominated for deletion. We appreciate your contributions. However, an editor does not feel that Differences between book, film and TV versions of M*A*S*H satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Differences between book, film and TV versions of M*A*S*H and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). [edit] As You Were (M*A*S*H)

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article As You Were (M*A*S*H), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of the page. Oo7565 09:10, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Peter Pan Trek actors

As per your question here, as I responded there, unfortunately, no credits for the actors were listed on any of the albums, comics, or books. :( So, really, unless someone associated with the company makes an appearance, I think that we're SOL. Alas. -- 99.233.222.79 (talk) 03:28, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] List of state leaders in 1180s BC

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of List of state leaders in 1180s BC, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.prescriptiondrug-info.com/drug_information_online.asp?title=List_of_state_leaders_in_1180s_BC. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 10:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Speedy deletion of Template:M2BCYearInTopic

A tag has been placed on Template:M2BCYearInTopic requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{tranclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 16:04, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
