[edit] Dr. Dot
I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Dr. Dot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at its talk page. Removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, but the article may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. - I have deleted the article as it was an obvious copyright violation. Please do not add copyrighted text to Wikipedia. Almost any text that you copy and paste from a website is copyrighted. It may be possible to create an article about Dr. Dot, but only if you:
- Write your own words about her
- Show how she is notable. In particular, how does she meet the criteria in our guideline on biographical articles
- Please also try to avoid disparaging other editors in your comments, as you did in the AfD discussion. It does not help your case. Best, Gwernol 12:11, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Doctor Dot, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article is a repost of either already posted material, or of material that was previously deleted in a deletion debate, such as articles for deletion. If you can indicate how Doctor Dot is different from all other articles, or if you can indicate why this article should not be deleted, I advise you to place the template {{hangon}}, and also put a note on Talk:Doctor Dot saying why this article should stay. An admin should check for such edits before deleting the article. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 4 under General criteria. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. We welcome your help in trying to improve Wikipedia, and we ask you to follow these instructions. Chrisd87 12:21, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Warning
You have recently recreated or reposted material at Dr. Dot which previously was deleted in accordance with Wikipedia's deletion policies. Please do not recreate this article without prior approval from an administrator or you may be blocked from editing. We ask that you respect what Wikipedia is not. If you disagree with the article's deletion, you may seek an independent deletion review.
- When I mentioned that you could recreate the article I specifically said that you should not enter copyrighted text, yet you just created it again with the same text that had already been deleted because it was copyrighted. You have now lost your opportunity to create any article about Dr. Dot. In future please heed the good advice that people are trying to give you. Gwernol 12:26, 4 January 2007 (UTC)
