Alpha Five [1] is a database application building tool produced by Alpha Software for building both powerful desktop and web or browser applications quickly and easily.

Alpha Five eschews programming for ease of use for those who are not familiar with computers through a "point and click" approach, but also includes its own full featured programming language (xBasic) for more advanced users. The software builds applications against its own built-in database engine or against SQL engines such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, DB2, MySQL and Sybase. By using the Alpha Five Web Application Server, a user can also deploy applications to run in an internet browser on any platform, including Windows, Apple and Linux-based systems.

Alpha Five is the flagship product of Alpha Software [2]. Alpha Software has been building database application building software since its founding in 1982. It has over 1 million users. In the last year it and has received awards such as PC Magazine's Editors Choice, PC Users "Top Buy" rating and CRN's Database application building product of the year.
