My main interest is in the Royal Air Force overseas in World War II, specifically the operations, personnel and equipment of No 211 Squadron RAF in the Middle East and Far East. I have been compiling a history of the Squadron since the mid-1990s.

My website on 211 Squadron can be found at

I am a member of the International Association of Aviation Historians (Air Britain) http://www.air-britain.com/, of the Military Historical Society of Australia http://www.mhsa.org.au/ and of the Blenheim Society.

The wikipedia system is verbose, complex, error-prone, and extremely hard to use. The Search engine is, for the ordinary user, the poorest on Earth, lacking numeral and "exact phrase" search. Written content is typically inaccurate, often in breach of copyright, and prone to vandalism. Not a reliable source for anything, and probably beyond remedy.
